Thunder win streak snapped at two

The Langley Thunder saw their two-game win streak come to an end on Sunday.
Hosting the Nanaimo Timbermen in BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League action at Langley Events Centre, the Thunder were on the short end of an 8-6 final score, seeing their record fall to 4-5 on the season.
Langley was ahead 2-1 after 20 minutes but trailed 4-3 with a period to play and cut the deficit to a single goal with 8:41 to play, before the Timbermen struck for power-play goals to build a 7-4 advantage.
Erik Forsselius scored twice for the Thunder while Jonathan Grywacheski and Bailey Vanichuk each had a goal and two helpers. Jake Newby and Cade Beck-Boreson had the other goals for Langley.
Nanaimo was led three goals from Matthew Boas while Dylan Manson had a goal and four helpers.
The Thunder are back in action on May 31 (7:30pm) as they host the Port Coquitlam Saints at Langley Events Centre before they head to Nanaimo on June 4 for a rematch with the Timbermen.
