Thunder can't build on lead, fall 9-5 to Adanacs

Leading 3-1 early in the second period, the Langley Thunder were unable to build on their advantage, falling 9-5 to the visiting Coquitlam Adanacs.
The teams met on Tuesday (May 19) night in the Fieldhouse at Langley Events Centre in BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League action. The Thunder have lost three in a row and sit at 2-5 while the Adanacs improved to 5-1.
Jake Hagel led the Langley offence with two goals and an assist while Brett Billings (1-1), Owen Van Ryn and Josiah Allen adding a goal each. Logan Claxton and Cam Smith chipped in with a pair of assists.
Jensen McGregor made 35 saves in the Thunder goal as Langley was outshot 44-37.
Darian Murray led Coquitlam with four goals and an assist with Oscar Hicik finished with five assists.
The Thunder will look to snap their streak as they visit the Maple Ridge Burrards at Cam Neely Arena on May 22. The next home game at Langley Events Centre is May 26 versus the Richmond Roadrunners. Game time is 7:30pm.
