T1 Thunder return to winning ways

It was back to their winning ways for the Langley Junior Tier 1 Thunder.
Following a five-game win streak to open the season, the T1 Thunder suffered their first defeat in their previous game. But back on the floor on Friday night at Maple Ridge’s Cam Neely Arena to face the T1 Burrards, Langley raced out to a 9-1 lead before winning 10-4. The victory improved the team to 6-1 in the BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League standings.
Connyr Welch led the Langley attack with a hat trick and Logan Claxton (2-2) and Jameson Reed (2-1) added two-goal games. Colten Lifton, Dallas Kilpatrick and Brett Billings rounded out the offence with a goal apiece. Marcus Khan finished with 33 saves on 37 shots.
For the Burrards, Kevin McConnachie stopped 44 of 54 shots with Aidan Hertslet, Carsyn Pomfrey, Tristan Richard and Levi Burns scoring a goal apiece.
Next up for the Tier 1 Thunder is a home game at Langley Events Centre on May 20 at 7:30pm against Coquitlam.
