Saints stomp Thunder 14-4

One game after their largest offensive output of the season, goals were once again hard to come by for the Langley Thunder.
The Thunder were limited to just four goals -- including none in the third period -- as they fell 14-4 to the Port Coquitlam Saints in BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League action. The game was played Thursday night at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre.
The loss drops Langley to 3-10 with five regular season remaining while the Saints sit at 6-3.
Down 4-1 after a period, the Thunder scored three times in the middle stanza, but still found themselves trailing 8-4. The Saints dominated the final 20 minutes with six unanswered goals.
Jack Bamford led the Langley offence with a pair of goals while Vaughn Pinchin had a goal and two assists.
Erik Dozzi led the Saints with four goals and five points.
The Thunder were outshot 55-23 in the game.
Next up for the team is a home game on Tuesday, June 13 at Langley Events Centre against the Burnaby Lakers. Game time is 7:30pm.
