Trailing 7-6 after two periods, the Langley Thunder matched their offensive output from the first 40 minutes with a six-goal final frame to edge the Richmond Roadrunners on Wednesday night.

Langley scored twice in the final 4:14 for the game’s final two goals in the 12-11 win in BC Junior A Lacrosse League action at Richmond’s Minoru Arena on May 29. The victory was the team’s second in their past three games as they pulled their record to 4-5 as the approach the halfway mark of the 20-game regular season.

The Thunder led 5-2 after a period before the Roadrunners turned the game around in the middle frame, outscoring the Langley visitors 5-1 over those 20 minutes to pull ahead 7-6. And with just over 11 minutes to play, the score was 9-6 for Richmond, setting up a frantic finish as Langley scored six goals in the next nine minutes to secure the victory.
