A late goal from Max Larsen sent the Langley Junior Tier 1 Thunder to a third-straight victory on Saturday afternoon in Nanaimo.
With the score tied at 6, Larsen struck for the winner with just 92 seconds remaining as the T1 Thunder were 7-6 winners over the Timbermen in BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League action at Frank Crane Arena. The win improved Langley to 9-3 with Nanaimo's record falling to 6-3-1.
It was the T1 Thunder's second win over the Timbermen in the past seven days as they also began their current win streak with a 7-3 win over Nanaimo on May 25 at Langley Events Centre.
Langley trailed 3-1 after a period with the Timbermen before outscoring Nanaimo 4-1 in the middle frame. Each time scored twice in the final 20 minutes.
Brayden Longacre led the Langley attack with four goals with Jameson Reed and Mason Eastgate adding a goal and an assist apiece with Eastgate's helper coming on Larsen's late game-winner.
