Khan backstops Thunder to dominant victory

Make it back-to-back dominating wins for the Langley T1 Thunder.
Fresh off their first victory of the season the night before, a 13-2 win over the visiting Maple Ridge Burrards -- Langley went into Coquitlam and defeated the Adanacs 10-3 at the Poirier Sports & Leisure Complex on Wednesday night. The Thunder improved to 2-2 while Coquitlam fell to 1-1 in the BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League standings.
Langley led 3-0 after a period and 6-0 through 40 minutes before the Adanacs finally solved Marcus Khan, scoring twice on the Thunder goaltender with the final Coquitlam goal came against Jensen McGregor. Langley still won the period, 4-3.
Dallas Kilpatrick led the offensive attack with a goal and five helpers while Logan Claxton delivered a hat trick. Grayson Pinchin -- called up for the game -- contributed a pair of goals with Josiah Allen and Brett Billings each scoring once and setting up two others. Owen Van Ryn and Dreyton Goeson rounded out the scoring.
The Thunder outshot the Adanacs 64-38.
Following four games in nine days to open the season, the Thunder now get a chance to catch their breath as they are off until May 15 when they travel to Queen's Park Arena to face the New Westminster Salmonbellies at 8:00pm. The next home game is May 17 as they host the Victoria Shamrocks at the Fieldhouse at Langley Events Centre with a 1:00pm start time.
