Jr. B Thunder stop Saints

A three-goal second period – while shutting the door at the other end – helped the Langley Junior B Thunder to a 9-5 victory.

The team was at the Poco Rec Centre, knocking off the Saints in BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League action on Thursday night, improving to 5-6 on the season in the process. The Saints fell to 6-3-0-2 with the defeat.

The game was knotted at three after one period but Langley scored the next five goals to take the lead for good. And they did it with a balanced attack as Nathan Lavigne, Josh Bramley and Taylor Dudlets had two goals apiece while Cooper Gettel, Chase Moore and Kyle Brunsch each scored once. Brunsch’s goal was part of a five-point game.

Up next for the team is a home game June 12 as the Thunder host Coquitlam at Langley Events Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
