The Langley Junior Tier 1 Thunder flexed their offensive muscles on Wednesday night.

Six different players finished with five points as Langley went into Richmond’s Minoru Arena and defeated the Roadrunners 17-9 for back-to-back season-opening victories in the BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League.

After leading wire-to-wire in their season opener the night before, the T1 Thunder faced their first deficit of the 2025 season when Richmond opened the scoring less than two minutes into Wednesday’s contest. But the Roadrunners lead was short-lived as Langley closed the period on a 6-0 run.

Richmond did manage to get within four goals before the T1 Thunder tallied four straight to close out the 17-9 victory.

The offence was led by Jacob Glass’ five goals with Brayden Longacre, Ryan Sheldrake and Mason Eastgate each scoring twice and adding three assists. Jameson Reed and Connyr Welch also joined the five-point club with a goal and four helpers apiece.

Cashton Hemsworth (1-1), Lukas Miller, Jackson Moleski and Cole O’Callaghan completed the scoring with Marcus Khan finishing with 29 saves on 38 shots.

The Thunder are back in action on Saturday (May 3) when they travel to Victoria for the T1 Shamrocks season opener at Juan de Fuca Arena. Game time is 2:30pm
