Claxton, Glass hat tricks help Thunder snap slide

The Langley Tier 1 Thunder are back in the win column.
With the score tied at 7 and just over a half period to play, the Thunder scored the game's final three goals, defeating the host Maple Ridge Burrards 10-7 on Friday night at Cam Neely Arena.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak, improving the Thunder to 3-5 in the BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League standings.
Jacob Glass scored the winner with Logan Claxton and Dylan Massa adding insurance goals shortly after while goaltender Hendrix Wenman made 23 saves on 30 shots to earn the win between the pipes.
Claxton finished with a hat trick and five assists, earning a point on eight of the 10 Langley goals. Glass marked his return from injury with three goals and one assist. Owen Van Ryn (2-1), Dallas Kilpatrick (0-2) and Massa (1-1) each had multi-point games with Ram Tomas adding the other goal.
The Thunder outshot the Burrards 53-30 with the loss dropping Maple Ridge to 3-8. Langley also swept the season series with the win.
Nate Bonner and Tristan Pritchard led the Burrards as each scored twice and set up one other.
The Thunder are back in action on Tuesday (May 26) as they host the Richmond Roadrunners at Langley Events Centre. Game time is 7:30pm.
